In the heart of Gilbert, Arizona, Courtyard House transforms a fourth-generation family farm into a bold modern retreat while preserving the agrarian spirit of the property.
 

The project reimagines the original farmhouse, now referred to by the family as the historic home, as part of a larger residential estate. A modern addition and a multipurpose structure for RV storage, guest accommodations, and additional amenities are composed around a generous private courtyard. Together, the three structures define an outdoor room that organizes the entire property and establishes the central axis of the home.
 

Inside, the furnishings blend custom-made pieces, inherited heirlooms, and carefully selected new furniture. The main living area and European kitchen are clean, casual, and highly refined, while the private spaces become softer and more relaxed, creating a home that feels modern, personal, and deeply rooted in family history.
